Mithaq
A sanctuary for reflection, relationships and human dignity.
The word mithaq — مِيثاق — means covenant, or deep agreement. This project begins there: with the idea that some of the most important things in life require a different kind of space to hold them.
Mithaq is a sanctuary in the literal sense — a place set apart. For reflection. For the conversations that don't happen in ordinary rooms. For attending to what is often overlooked.
Context
We have inherited many forms for being together — meetings, debates, transactions, performances — but fewer for genuine encounter. Mithaq is a response to that absence. It takes seriously the idea that how we hold space determines what can be said within it.
The Work
Building spaces — digital and otherwise — for reflection, relationships, and human dignity. Developing the MITHAQ Verse Library as a resource for slower, more considered engagement with language and meaning. Holding human dignity as a design constraint, not a value statement.
“Some things are best held in stillness.”
